Hidden Caribbean Adventure Cruises

When was the last time that you set sail from a stunning Caribbean beach on an Ocean Racing Yacht, sailed through the night smothered by 360° of stars and warm air, arrived in paradise, dived on a living reef, climbed a 2000ft mountain, abseiled down a waterfall into a tropical rainforest, swam in a natural river with bath temperature fresh water all in six different islands on the same adventure holiday?
Ondeck have put together a circular trip from Antigua - Montserrat - St Kitts - Saba - Barbuda - Antigua. If you would like to extend your stay on any of the islands then we can of course recommend some wonderful hotels.
Further itineries are being planned for 2010-11 including Barbados to Antigua, Antigua to St Lucia and St Lucia to Antigua.
We welcome individuals or groups and it is possible to charter the whole yacht for private groups. These adventures appeal to sailors and novices alike. Ondeck’s skippers and crew are experienced in taking groups with varying degrees of experience across the Atlantic Ocean – so you will be in good hands. Guests are encouraged to take a full and active part in all aspects of sailing the yacht and full instruction is given.
Ondeck’s Farr 65s are Round the World racing yachts. They have competed one circumnavigation and countless Atlantic crossings and are solid, safe and exhilarating boats to sail. The wide cockpit makes a perfect platform for enjoying the scenic passages, and the galley allows for cold drinks and food to be served with ease. The yachts have two toilet facilities and are certificated to the highest safety standards. Capacity is 12 guests.
Life On Board An Ocean Racing Farr 65
The Farr 65 is a racing yacht so accommodation is fairly basic. You’ll have your own bunk which is a good size and there are two heads (bathroom facilities) which are shared with all the crew members.
The boat can accommodate up to 15 people including a skipper and 2 crew so it can be rather cosy but it is not often full to capacity. This means there is often extra space for luggage and sometimes communal areas. The galley is functional and compact with a gas stove and oven.
The boat has hot running water in the galley and both heads so hot showers are always available as is hot washing up water. For meal times, everybody tends to take their turn to cook and wash up although it is a fairly relaxed schedule. You definitely get to know the people you’re living with onboard and it makes for a unique adventure
