This tour combines a drive-tour of the island, an exciting yacht race and a cruise of Nelson’s Dockyard. It is a little bit of everything to suit those who want to see the sights in a more exclusive and unique way.

Firstly you will enjoy a 30 minute drive through the beautiful Antiguan scenery and your driver will point out sights of interest. Soon, the sea comes into view and it's time to take up the challenge of our Ocean Race Experience. You will be part of one of the ‘racing teams’ aboard Ondeck’s Ocean racing yachts. This tour is participatory, and guests are encouraged to learn and be involved in every aspect of sailing.

With only six guests to our two professional crew, you will be given undivided attention and tuition, adding to the special feel of the tour. The less adventurous can sit at the back, relax and enjoy watching the racing crews sail the yachts. Inside the yacht there is a marine toilet and ample seating to allow for shelter when necessary.

There will be a minimum of two yachts taking part in each race and guests will be divided into teams, groups can opt to stay together if they wish. After a short but thorough safety brief, sails are hoisted and we head out into the harbour where we allow the teams to practice their roles and get involved in the sailing of the yacht including: trimming sails, grinding winches, or just sitting back and enjoying the experience and taking in the sights of the harbour and the glorious neighbouring islands.

Once the crews are comfortable, we will start the race which will last for approximately 45 minutes.

Once the race has ended, you will be encouraged to take the helm of our performance yachts during a relaxing tour by water of the yachting Mecca of Antigua. While sipping on a celebratory rum punch you will be shown fantastic multi-million dollar mega yachts, and the picturesque Nelson’s Dockyard (subject to weather). You will have the advantage of viewing the dockyard from your very own exclusive platform.

Then, you will head back to the dock and to our store, where T-shirts and digital photography will be available for purchase.

Next, it's on to Shirley Heights, the most famous viewpoint on Antigua. You will enjoy breathtaking views over the Caribbean Sea including the islands of Guadeloupe and Montserrat. This area is steeped in history and you too can stand where Lord Horatio Nelson stood back in the 1780s.

Then it's back to your ship and the tour ends.
